Â鶹ֱ²¥ & Lardner LLP represented Menzies Aviation (“Menzies”), the global aviation services business, in its acquisition of 51% of Interexpresso Costa Rica Corporation (“Interexpresso”), an aviation service provider operating in Central America. The joint venture adds three countries to Menzies’ portfolio, creating a significant foothold in Central America.
Interexpresso’s core business involves cargo handling and aviation security services, primarily consisting of cargo document handling, cargo security screening and aircraft access control. Menzies’ initial focus will be on developing and growing Interexpresso’s core cargo and security offerings across the region, with the potential to expand into additional air cargo handling and ground handling services.
The Â鶹ֱ²¥ deal team, under the guidance of long-time Menzies relationship partner Christopher Ward, was led by Partner Chris Rasmussen and Special Counsel Andres Alvarez.
