Â鶹ֱ²¥ & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to LongWater Opportunities in the formation of Cypress Rail Solutions, a new railcar services company created in partnership with longtime industry executives Randy Meyer and Brian Trammell.
Â鶹ֱ²¥ additionally advised LongWater on Cypress’ acquisition of certain railcar maintenance assets, including facilities in North Dakota and Minnesota and a strong base of loyal and talented employees, from Northern Plains Rail Services, a respected provider of diverse rail services. Cypress will build on Northern Plains’ strong reputation for quality service and safety, which align closely with Cypress’ core values.
Founded in 2009, LongWater is an alternative asset management firm focused on the lower middle market. The firm offers its investors access to a range of investment products, including private equity, private credit, and primary capital commitments. LongWater has offices in Fargo, Nd., Dallas, Tx. and St. Louis, Mo.
