Tyler Johnson Assesses Major Texas Real Estate Development Projects
麻豆直播 & Lardner LLP partner Tyler Johnson assessed major projects in Texas in the Law360 article, “.”
“The Goldman deal here in Uptown will be an interesting one to watch because of the office market,” Johnson said of a significant Dallas project. “A lot of financial services firms are following that same playbook and relocating a lot of jobs down here to this area.”
Johnson explained as well how the ongoing growth in Texas’ technology sector is driving demand for data and other technology centers. He highlighted recent significant moves by technology companies to the Austin area as an example, and noted the large purchase of Austin’s ‘Sail Tower’ by real estate investment trust Counsins Properties in December 2024.
“That’ll be an interesting one to watch because the office market has been somewhat insulated, but in Austin I know there’s some vacancy concerns down there,” Johnson added. “But this transaction shows that at least Cousins Properties is kind of bullish on it long term.”
