As the government shutdown continues, Breese said that employers remain “fully bound” by NLRA requirements, even though the board is currently closed.

In her recent �鶹ֱ�� Labor & Employment Perspectives blog cited by HR Executive, Breese explored five key compliance areas that employers should remain mindful of during the shutdown: protected activity, collective bargaining, operations, processing delays, and continuity of state regulations.

She added that employers should maintain NLRA compliance throughout the shutdown, urging HR leaders to treat compliance as “business as usual.”
