Libby Ridley routinely leads both buy-side and sell-side M&A deals for private companies. She is a trusted advisor whom clients regularly rely on to guide them through the M&A process, analyze risks and rewards, and provide sound business and legal advice.

Libby focuses her practice on complex mergers and acquisitions and general corporate governance matters across a range of sectors. She serves private equity funded clients, public companies, and privately held businesses in various industries such as manufacturing, information technology, financial services, consumer products, and beverage distribution, with a focus on the middle market.

Libby has significant experience advising companies within the sports and entertainment industry on both purchase and sale transactions, including companies operating in golf, baseball, and other segments of the industry. She represents clients on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, bringing a practical understanding of the unique commercial, brand, and market considerations that shape M&A activity in the sports sector.

Prior to attending law school, Libby worked as a financial analyst in the corporate and investment bank at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (now Truist) in Atlanta, Georgia.
